North Asheville is one of the most desirable locations inside the Asheville city limits. This area encompasses the desirable Montford neighborhood, Five Points, Albemarle and Albemarle Park, Woolsey, Grove Park, the University of North Carolina at Asheville campus, and Lakeview Park neighborhoods, just to name a few. This location consists of mostly older 1900’s era ranch, bungalow, and traditional style homes ranging from $300k’s to over $1 million. Occasional new construction exists as land becomes available and larger lots are subdivided. Homes tend to be situated on smaller, urban lots with narrow city streets but conveniently located to Beaver Lake, the commercial corridor along Merrimon Avenue, the Botanical Gardens, and it’s located just north of downtown Asheville.
